A high-speed FPGA capture card powers the device. It features 4x SFP/SFP+/SFP28 interfaces. The appliance enables lossless packet capture. It also provides nanosecond-accurate timestamping, packet slicing, deduplication, and advanced filtering using Berkeley Packet Filters (BPF).
By recording network traffic at critical points, PacketFalcon helps organizations identify performance issues quickly. Teams can investigate cyber threats faster. This reduces mean time to resolution (MTTR).
Storage options include 7TB, 15TB, or 30TB SSD. The appliance also comes with 64GB RAM. PacketFalcon Mini offers scalable retention for long-term packet storage and historical traffic analysis.
The platform supports PCAP and PCAPNG formats. It allows simultaneous multi-user access through a secure web interface. Optional WLAN packet capture is also available.
