40G Packet Capture Appliance

The NEOX PacketFalcon 40G Packet Capture Appliance is a high-performance, portable network forensics and traffic analysis system designed for continuous 24/7 monitoring, recording, and deep inspection of enterprise and service provider networks. It enables lossless packet capture across 1G to 100G environments, including 40G QSFP+ and 10G fan-out architectures, delivering full visibility into application behavior, network communication flows, and security events in real time and historical analysis.

Powered by FPGA-based processing, PacketFalcon provides nanosecond-accurate timestamping, packet slicing, deduplication, and advanced filtering to ensure precise forensic investigation. It supports deep packet inspection, VoIP and video quality analysis, and OSI layer 2–7 visibility to accelerate troubleshooting and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR).

Built for SOC teams and network engineers, it combines rugged hardware design with scalable storage, high-speed capture interfaces, and intuitive web-based analysis tools, making it ideal for advanced network monitoring, incident response, and digital forensics in high-throughput environments.

Description

The NEOX PacketFalcon Packet Capture Appliance series includes 40G and 100G models. It is a high-performance, portable network forensics and traffic analysis platform. Therefore, it works well for continuous 24/7 packet capture, monitoring, and deep inspection of modern high-speed networks.
This appliance serves enterprise, telecom, and security operations environments. First, it delivers lossless recording. Second, it provides full visibility across 1G, 10G, 25G, 40G, and 100G infrastructures.
PacketFalcon appliances handle demanding workloads with ease. They use FPGA-accelerated packet processing. As a result, they offer nanosecond-accurate timestamping and ensure precise reconstruction of network events.
These systems also include advanced features. For example, they support packet slicing, deduplication, filtering, and protocol-aware analysis. Consequently, these features enable efficient storage and fast study of large-scale traffic without data loss.
The appliances offer deep packet inspection (DPI). They also provide application detection and classification. In addition, they include VoIP and video quality analysis (MOS scoring) plus full communication flow visualization. Thus, security teams and network engineers can quickly spot issues, probe incidents, and lower mean time to resolution (MTTR).
PacketFalcon systems work well for both real-time monitoring and historical forensic analysis. They capture and index terabytes of traffic. At the same time, they keep high-speed access through an easy web-based interface.
OSI Layer 2–7 visibility gives full insight into network behavior. Therefore, it supports threat detection, compliance checks, and speed optimization.
The platform uses a rugged, enterprise-grade hardware design. It features high-speed FPGA capture cards, scalable SSD storage, and backup system parts for top reliability in key environments. Moreover, its portable design fits data centers, SOC setups, and field tasks.
